About La Clinique Mauricienne
We strive to bring ourselves to the next level of excellence
Nested in a calm and peaceful environment, surrounded by century-old trees, La Clinique Mauricienne has been providing outstanding and personalised care to all Mauritians ever since its opening in 1957.
La Clinique Mauricienne has been built from a donation by Late Sir Edgard Laurent and is governed by an Act of the Legislative assembly namely – La Clinique Mauricienne Act No. 36 of 1957, through a Board of Trustees. The Board is composed of 7 members namely:
- A Chairman
- A Representative of the Ministry of Health
- 5 Members
La Clinique Mauricienne caters for both Inpatients and Outpatients care in almost all specialties ranging from general to super specialties along with complementary services such as Laboratory, X-Ray, and Echography facilities and an in-house pharmacy.
Since early 2022, La Clinique Mauricienne has been undergoing a complete renovation of its infrastructure, including:
- All Individual Rooms have their own shower and toilets
- A 24/7 Casualty & Emergency Department
- Three new Operation Theatres certified ISO 5
- An In-House Pharmacy
- A new Imaging Centre
- A Laboratory
- A Physiatry Department
- Waste Treatment Plan / Incinerator
